私はサンクスギビングの休みにともだちのうちにいきました。私のともだちのうちはプリンストンだいがくのちかくにあります。だから NJ transitでいって、にじゅっぷんぐらいかかりました。私のともだちは人をきらいなねこととてもかわいいいぬがいます。そして、小さいさかながいます。いぬのなまえはポップコンです。ビションフリセです。

From my previous goals . . .

• I've been working on choosing my material earlier so I can have more time to practice
• Pitch is still somewhat of a problem, especially with new words and fast-speaking people :P
• As I learn more vocabulary, I feel as though I'm not butchering as many words as before (yay!)
• I've improved my listening to the point that I can understand/guess most of what Li-kun says to me though replying is still an issue. That being said, even in English, I'm quite slow with replies . . .

New goals . . .

• Start watching anime again (or maybe Japanese variety shows since I'm such a fan of Korean ones?)
• Go to the Japanese language table again (one day in the near-ish future)
• Keep practicing my speaking so that I don't have to think as much before I reply to a question
• Spelling T_T

わたしのおばさんのともだちのおいはよくポロンポロンポロロをみます。かんこくでひじょうにゆうめいです。ポロロはこどもペンギンです。そして、ポロンポロンもりにすんでいます。ひだりからみぎまでうしろからまえまでポロロのともだちのなまえはトントン、エーヂ、ピピ、ポポ、ロヂ、ポビ、ルーピ、クロン、ペッチ、ポロロトヘーリ。おばさんのともだちのおいとオーペニングキョクをならった。

こんにちは！

きんようびとどようびにオーケストラコンサートがありました。ランスキ先生のラインとシャドとモーツァルトのバイオリンコンチェルトとホルストのプラネツスをしました。とてもいいでした。きんようびのばんわたしはかんこくのコメヂーをごぜんよじまでみました。だからどようびにごごにじにおきました。にちようびにオーケストラのピザパーチにいきました。ともだちとピザとクッキーをたべましたよ。でもそのあとりょうでべんきょします。 (╯︵╰,)

Goals for Pronunciation Exercises

• Be more familiar with the material
• Concentrate on overall phrase pitch
• Be clearer with my pronunciation and don't trip over words

To achieve this, I will:

• Start studying the material earlier, not last minute T_T
• Say more things out loud
• Don't be sick/lose my voice when I record myself
• Speak more in Japanese with my friends who know/are Japanese

I could say that I wanted to learn so that I could speak to my grandparents in a language that most of my cousins won't understand. Or maybe that I've gotten tired of watching subbed anime. Perhaps too many of my friends is learning/knows Japanese. I don't know. Therefore, I will say that my reason is curiosity.

Excited about:

• Being introduced to everyone and constantly forgetting everyone's names
• Carrying around heavy textbooks that make me feel studious
• Going to random class times
• "ツ゚" looks like a smiley face :)

Difficult:

• Writing
• Names
• Writing
• Bad penmanship
• Writing
